Ghetto is a small friendly neighborhood bar in Breach Candy (Mumbai) that you could easily miss because of its hole-in-the-wall kind of appearance. But that’s one of the reasons that makes this place so special in my mind. As a millennial from South Bombay.. I have kind of grown old liking this place and the people.
Ghetto generally plays 1980s rock music, accompanied by affordable alcohol, free pop corn and yummy snacks. They have pool tables too and a fully loaded bar and plenty of waiters and bartenders. No wonder this place is a favorite hang out among the ad agency guys!
But the most outstanding bit about Ghetto is the handiwork and Graffiti by artists and patrons that covers every inch of the walls inside. To that add lots of drunken limericks and obscene jokes.
Another important thing to note about Ghetto is the neon effect lighting that tends to make your eyes and teeth and basically anything that is white sparkle like how!
And yes they have the strangest smoking room…
If you are visiting Mumbai or live in Mumbai and haven’t been to Ghetto yet you must visit. It will leave you with happy drunken memories and a desire to come back.
Great photos! Looks like such an interesting place to visit!
